Edward is an experienced writer, performer, and script editor. He created and wrote four series of the BBC Radio 4 sitcom Reluctant Persuaders, winning a BBC Audio Drama Award for Best Scripted Comedy. He has worked as script editor on sitcoms for BBC 2 and Channel 4, and as a co-writer on the BAFTA-nominated Hullraisers.

Introduction to sitcom writing:
This workshop is designed to help you put together your sitcom script. If you have a great idea for a sitcom and don’t know where to start – or if you’ve written your first script and don’t know what to do next – this will help you develop your work and move onto the next stage through analysis, discussion, and practical exercises.

Who should do this course?

The workshop is designed for people early in their comedy writing career, who are working out how to write their first sitcom. It’s open to all ages from 16 years upwards, and ideal for people who know they want to write comedy, but aren’t sure where to start.
